يحمل عام 2019 العديد من المشاريع الذكية المتعلقة بالذكاء الصناعي، التي ستبصر النور على أرض الإمارات، حيث سيتم تحويل جزيرة ياس في أبو ظبي إلى مدينة ذكية خالية من النقود التقليدية المعروفة، اعتبارًا من العام المقبل.
أما عن طريقة الدفع؛ فسيكون دخول المرافق والمدن والوجهات الترفيهية في جزيرة ياس بلا نقود، حيث يتم الدفع عبر الهواتف الذكية، على أن يتم تعميم تلك الميزة على جميع مرافق الجزيرة الأخرى في مرحلة لاحقة.
وقد بدأ العمل على تصميم نظام للنقل في الجزيرة من خلال سيارات معلقة تسير بسرعة 120 كيلومترًا في الساعة، وفق ما كشفت الشركة المسؤولة عن تطوير وإدارة الجزيرة، مشيرةً إلى أنها تستهدف أن تكون مدة الانتقال بين المناطق المختلفة في الجزيرة أربع دقائق على الأكثر.
